Centers for Family Development, Inc.’s (CFDI’s) Parenting Time (Visitation) Support Services Program provides supervised parenting time for parents with their children. Supported visitation allows parent-child interactions in a safe environment while promoting a healthy relationship and family bonding. Preparation sessions engage the parents/caregivers in essential parenting skills aligned with their interests and their Michigan Department of Health and Human Services parenting reunification plan. CFDI staff engage parents to take the lead in planning safe, structured recreation during visits so the parenting skills used, and fun activities planned, may be adapted to home life with the children upon reunification.
